Windows 11

Windows 11 Screenshot During the launch event for Windows 10 on July 29, 2015, in Redmond, Washington, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 would be the last "numerical" operating system. The idea was to establish Windows 10 as a continuously updated operating system, introducing regular updates and improvements rather than releasing completely new versions like Windows 11, Windows 12, and so on.

However, this direction changed, and Windows 11 was developed as the successor to Windows 10. The decision to develop Windows 11 was largely made to provide a more modern platform with enhanced features, a revamped user interface, and better integration of new technologies to meet the growing demands of users.

Windows 11 was officially announced at the Microsoft Windows Event on June 24, 2021. The rollout began as a free upgrade on October 5, 2021. Microsoft initiated a gradual deployment of updates for compatible devices. It brought a redesigned user interface, including a centered Start menu and rounded corners, along with new features like Snap Layouts, easing simultaneous work with multiple apps. It also introduced higher hardware requirements, including TPM 2.0 and specific processor requirements, to enhance security and performance. Positioned as a more modern and optimized version of the operating system, Windows 11 aims to provide an improved user experience across various devices.

Windows 11 supports a variety of processor architectures, including x86-64, also known as AMD64 or Intel 64, as well as ARM-based processors.
